I have Hitachi 500GB hard disk which I locked using system bios a long time ago. I forgot the password and recently I wanted to change something from bios and it was locked too so I just flashed the bios to access it but my harddisk stopped working. I google it and found this forum and tried some tools and found out that my hard disk is locked with ATA password.

I have really important data on that disk and can't risk to lose it so I bought another 500GB harddisk of same make and model to do some experiments.

If I change the PCB of unlocked harddisk with locked harddisk, Will I be able to access my data or I will lose it all? (Both hard disks are same make and model).

Any help in this regard will be greatly appreciated.

no, simple swap of pcbs will not give you access, not even with unlocked hitachi drives coz some data needs to be transported to the donor pcb.
Unlocking it requres expensive tools or deep knowledge about VSCs.
I suggest contacting a DR facilty in your area (MindMergePk, https://forum.hddguru.com/memberlist.ph ... le&u=27425?) who can handle such case.
