To Dmitry:

How are AMNF errors removed thru MHDD?

Posted 10/2/2005, 09:31:

By the way, these AMNF errors appeared after scanning the drive by MHDD with REMAP ON.

AMNF stands for Address Mark Not Found, generally fw or bad sector related ...

Thank you.

These AMNF errors got removed after doing a re-scan with MHDD.

Also, why would MHDD hang when erasing waits? After it hangs, nothing more is happening and you need to reboot.

I found the same problem with some old machines in my lab. I think that it is some kind of incompatibility between MHDD and the IDE controller chip.

Have you ever used PC3K for Maxtor 9xxx series? I haven't found any utility in PC3K for these drives.

For Maxtor 9xxx series you can use the same utility as for 3xxx series (PROXIMA)

I really do not care, and I have nothing aganist both of you, my comments wil be only for record.
Here we have a example of what I'm saying has a long time in this board.
If you have the PC3000 you know the drill, has a place to ask about this matter. But if you do not have it - so you have the "DEMO"
And if you have the "DEMO" HAS OTHERS PERSONS HERE THAT HAVE ALSO - THIS IS NOT YOUR PRIVILEGE ONLY - SO IF YOU DESERVE TO KNOW HOW TO DO SOMETHING ALL OTHERS DESERVE TO. THIS IS MY HAMBLE OPINION.

Do not forget all people that read and write here:
1- I work in a company that has PC3000 - both from ACELAB
2- I do not need the information
3 Why - because anything that you me or anyelse needs to know about the PC3000 - the only thing thta need to do is ask to PC3000 support.

You have a right to your own opinion.

But if other people are willing to help here, why do I need to go to PC3000 support?

People are looking for solutions in this very respectable forum, not arguments or plain talk.

At least I have the right to have my own opinion, thank you very much to let me have it.
About plain arguments and others things that you are saying, I have a thing to say - TRY TO LEARN ENGLISH.
But I will put here a comment about this.
I DO NOT SAY THAT YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO RECEIVE THE ADVICE OR THE SOLUTION.
I ONLY DID A COMMENT - THAT EVERYBODY HERE HAS THE SAME RIGHT THEN YOU.
I WROTE THIS BECAUSE OF YOUR COMMENT -
"by the way, do you know what com command to type in Seagate terminal within pc3k to move G-List defects to P-List? pls pm me if you feel that's very sensitive information."
I also think that you have the right to be egoist, but I just do not agree.
