Hi Gurus
have recovered data off HDD's several years ago and I have a few more to do now so my knowledge is a bit dusty, need your help. As a starting point for me i have a SATA drive 2TB that I start up in an USB External Hard Drive Docking Station and is visible in Disk Management as a Healthy (Primary Partition) RAW data.
I work for a company that gives me access to a huge software library. As a starting point I used Windows based programs Recuva, Power Data Recovery,EaseUS DRW, Disk Drill, Stellar Phoenix Data Recovery, Wondershare Data Recovery to see if it was a click and shoot solution. Half the programs didn't even find the drive and the other half went through a process and THEN said there was no drive recognized.
Sooooo any starting point that people can think of? Btw I have an old desktop ( i use laptops) that I could boot from if it's better to do that rather than via Docking station. I vaguely remember i used an active@ software that worked off the boot up and data was recovered before going into windows but that's a long time ago and teknologee has advanced since then so am curious if there's a new and exciting ways for data recovery. :D
Cheers
