Hello, have a HDD sata that makes this problem of "Ultra DMA CRC error count problem"

Tried to swap the SATA cables from other peripheals, even tried to change SATA on the Mainboard, nothing happened, then tried to polish the contacts, still makes the error, and sometime is hearable when happen.
The voltage count is 12,4 volts.
The error it happen likely every turnin on of the PC, and mainly one hour or on highest line peak like every two minutes.
Anyway the error doesnt affect the normal use of the computer, but worry for the data (already backed up), and would like to save this disk cause a lot of software installed, reformat and reinstall on another one to the same will take like a week of work.

Drive is failing.

So if data is not important enough for professional help then ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK you can try to clone it to another drive of same or greater capacity with hddsuperclone or ddrescue.

Search this forum or “hddoracle” for instructions for this.

Is This Not a Failing Drive ,Its The Communication Issue ,What Makes You Say its a Failing Drive ,Might be you have experienced something like this earlier leading to failure ,i do not think its a failing drive

You might have this issue when cables are bad, or data bus on motherboard is faulty (or not working well due to bad power supply) or oxidated HSA contacts on pcb of the hard drive.

It's almost always a benign error which is auto-corrected. Some HDD manufacturers provide tools to limit the SATA interface rate. This can sometimes stabilise a communications problem.

I say it’s failing because of the “it is hearable when happens” comment. I appreciate that English isn’t the OP’s native language, and I am guessing he/she means that it is making unusual noises. I don’t have the drive in hand, and can only base my opinion on the scant information given.

My suggestion to clone the drive still stands, for peace of mind due to the risk of imminent failure. But if you have a better suggestion to safeguard the data then please feel free to suggest otherwise,
