1TB Seagate 2.5" External Hard drive not detected in DiskM

September 16th, 2020, 0:29

dropped my seagate ext 1TB 2.5" hard drive, cannot be detected in disk management or BIOS.

have also tried using Stellar / EaseUS recovery, all cannot detect the drive at all, and it's clicking.

Any other software methods to recover the data, or must I approach a professional for physical recovery? What are the chances of full recovery (mostly xls/doc)?

Hello,

clicking = physical damage, heads at the least but probably surfaces as well. No chance for SW only recovery in this case, best option is contacting an experienced pro. He will tell ya about your odds for recovering it after evaluation.
Do not power it up (i think it already suffered additional surface damage by your experiments).
