Hello guys! I have a 6TB WD Red HDD that shows only heads 0 and 1 as active, for a total of 1.2TB at 1/5th of the Cylinders available. What would be the safe procedure to enable back some of the heads, resize it, and test if any could still be used? I already have a license of WD Marvel BTW 8) . There is no data to be recovered on the drive, so no worries there :P ! Thanks guys!

Just to be clear, I have no experience with this program :? ! So if you could go into a bit more detail, explaining the steps, I would be very grateful :D ! I do have a lot of experience in EE and Linux, so I shouldn't be too much of a lost cause  I hope.

Can you upload the drive's ROM and SA resources?

That's the ROM. Show us the rest of the firmware.

Ah right, I should have posted that earlier  . There's a lot of data here, and it's where I learned of the physical/used head count.

The previous one was through WinAPI, this one I got through SATA/AHCI mode. I just figured out how to use it :).

has anyone had any success enabling and using the other areas on one of these? I will buy the software if it has worked for anyone. flowersun the SATA/AHCI mode is red/unselectable for me in the demo, is this just a limitation of the demo or is there something I am missing?
