 Post subject: pc bootloop with seagate HDD

Hi, I have this HDD SEAGATE ST500DM002
Firmware: KC45

I need to restart this HDD, and i want try to clear SMART with N1 command, but usind a serial interface, i cant stop it in F3 mode

In serial i receive this log

Boot 0x10M
Spin Up[0x00000000][0x0000B67C][0x0000BA10]
Trans.

Rst 0x10M
MC Internal LPC Process
Spin Up
ASCII Diag mode

F3 T>
(P) SATA Reset


i have try another serial interface, but receive the same result. Sometimes appear F3 T other no, but it exit everyone from tis mode

Sometimes I reveice in serial this messages (after (P) Sata Seset)

LED:000000BD FAddr:00004400
or
LED:000000BD FAddr:00005656
or other similar, i'm not saved all

suggest for enter in F3 mode and send N1 command?

Likely clearing SMART won't help.
There is another more severe firmware problem related to media cache.

As mentioned before, suspecting it is a media cache issue.
Learn and work on how to deal with that would be a suggestion.
Start by reading critical system files.
Do you have firmware tools like PC3000, MRT or DFL?

It is odd you are getting different error msgs every time, this makes me wonder...
could you list them all (or most of them at least)?
