Hello hardisk guru friends, on Western Digital, if a drive has a security feature wherein it will only turn ON or work if it's an internal drive (like disks use in CCTVs or in some Macs), the bypass to make make it work is to insulate the contacts of the 3rd pin of the power area but is there an equivalent bypass for the Seagate ST2000DM001 which only works as an internal drive? If yes, which pin or pins on the ST2000DM001 should I isolate with Kapton tape (better than electrical tape)?

To understand the by-pass, this is the one for Western Digital hardisks that have a security feature:

May there be an equivalent for the ST2000DM001 coz' it's 2TB wasted if it can't be reused as an external drive (to help save the planet and carbon neutrality).

Thank you. God bless world's peace of mind.

(Hi moderators, kindly delete this thread, it's redundant- I forgot it has to be checked first before it's posted). Thank you.
