Have ST2000DM001 Seagate disk
Installed firmware for a different head configuration of same drive type.
Drive shows as unknown in windows.
In another thread was recommended to use Linux HDPARM to bring it back to life.

Installed Linux on a bench pc to repair.

LSBLK -S , gparted, and disk manager however do not show the disk attached.

My questions is how do I get the drive to be recognized such that I may attempt repair with HDPARM ?

Please let me know thanks.
