HI,

I am having an issue with my external USB drive. It is a Seagate. The power supply died. Is it a simple 12v power supply like those 12v on amazon as replacements for external USB ?

Secondly, is DMDE free to use or will it ask me to pay to move / recover data ?

Seagate's adaptors are usually 12VDC, 2A, centre positive.
