External hard drive. Total capacity 0 and available space 0

May 8th, 2024, 12:48

Hello, I am new in this forum. It's a pleasure to meet you and greet you.

I have a 500 Gb WD Blue hard disk, which until two days ago was working fine. I left the HD connected to my computer for a few hours and then it became no longer accessible. The disk was not disconnected from the computer, it was not hit, the computer was not forcefully shut down. Windows just didn't detect it anymore.

I have searched the Internet for solutions and have tried to do them but I have not obtained positive results. I have tried it on several computers, but I always get the same result, the disk is not recognized or is not detected. I have tried changing the connection cable and have no positive results.

I tried some free apps I got but no positive results.

Can you help me? Is there a way to recover the data or at least be able to recover disk usage?

Thank you very much in advance for any help you can provide me.

Is the drive still spinning?
If it is, then this is not a DIY fix.
Seek out a data recovery professional if the data is valuable.

Yes the disk is spinning. The light is active.

Yes I have important information on the disk.

Thanks for your help.
