My Hdd dead last mount. Can anybody help, i need part of my data inside. I know how to make maxtor work but not seagate.

it is a seagate baracuda 7200.9 st(*forgot*) 40 gb.

my dear FRIEND....

I THINK YOU NEW IN THIS FIELD ...

IF YOU HAVE IMPORTANT DATA CONTACT A HARDDISK TECHNITION..

if you not new in this field .....

how a person know the condition of you hdd ?
because you write "My Hdd dead".
what did this mean... not spinning or spinning but not detection by bios.....
having clicking sound or INTIALZING PROPERLY....
controller have a burnt chip or not....


may be hdd is ok

may be this is problem of o/s corruption....

want to help you but nothing found in info.....

i think is loader problem. i tried to conect seagate com, i think it said something with problem (firmware??). i dont know what the text is, i dont had any manual on seagate bios

hi

friend do you know tmos commands ?

if no don,t try touch keyboard with such com port terminal.
any pressed key may be a command , it might kill your hdd.

it is a suggestion for a friend.
