Got Imation Atom, NAND embedded together with the controller, any chance? :D Plugged in and detected as 4Mbytes instead of 4G. Scan didnt work.

Sorry its not clear and i've never seen inside one of these. Do you mean the nand and controller is a combo ic?

yes all software failed to access it, yes combo moulded into one. damn small, smaller than the NAND itself :)

it is better to post a picture of your Imation Atom. There is a combo Controller embedded in NAND Chip. this is hard to recover. If you can see there is some pin ( small dot ) you need to do signal analyzer to test everypin and analise which one is the data pin. but this is not easy to do. you need tool to do this JOB...
if you have found the data pin, then you need to manually solder the pin to your NAND reader. if you get the configuration you can read the DUMP.

But As I can tell you.. this is not as easy Job. not just as simple as unsolder NAND chip and read it using NAND reader to get DUMP.....
