As long as the NAND is intact and readable, it doesnt matter if controller is crypted or not. I've done many Sandisk NAND swaps with 0016x-x controllers. Works like a charm. Key is to have working donors for something like this. |

Site from link does not work. Do someone have copy? Jeremyb is owner of this site. From my experience: I transplant many times controller or nand to other same working PCB, and NEVER works. Many of information on DR websites is marketing BS. |

What Controller is it? Encrypted SanDisk drives are usually 100% recoverable if you know what your doing unless the led blinks endlessly, sometimes you get lucky and it's a bad solder joint but usually the nand chip has been wiped or severely corrupted in those blinking led cases.. P.S: I love how a post about me is titled Is This BS.. |

I just did the NAND swap on 20-82-00162-2 yesterday and it worked as usual. |
