Hello,

I am trying to figure out which soft read error rate (ECC-corrected bit errors) is "normal" for the drive.

The normalised "soft read error value" is calculated as follows:
10 * LOG (bits read / bit errors), so in the example below:
10 * LOG (2910250 * 512 * 8 / 158120) = 48.77.

I'd just like to know what value other people with the same drive are getting. I read here
http://www.kingston.com/en/ssd/enterprise/best_practices/enterprise_versus_client_ssd that for MLC NAND, the value of the BER should be around 10^(-7). Mine is a 10^(-4.8 ) , so a little above 10^(-5).

So if people who have the same type of drive could kindly post their model and the value of SMART attribute 13. Thank you!!

Here's my complete SMART data for my SSDNow 300 V - SV300S37A/60G:
