Toshiba SSD with Sandforce Controller

anyone deal with this SSD? seem like SSD turn in to Panic mode.. drive got ready when power on but busy reading id

This drive needs to be switched into technological mode.
The problem is the commands to do so.

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has figured this out, yet.

Very new case did not face yet.. i remember the one Macafee encrypted SDD case which is very slow in recovery but getting id were Ok.

Trust me, I still have 2 Sandforce based controllers: OCZ Agility 2 and Corsair Force F120Gb. Both dead (or half dead) bcoz of panic mode. Yes I do tried to bring nands from another dead 120gb SSD (like 4-5 SSD like this donated from friends) but no help. Now: running away from Sandforce is a MUST for me

If you are not buying Sandforce, might help to say what you are buying, otherwise it really isn't very helpful.
I have same problem at home, ask daughter what she wants for food.. "well I don't like fish"..
Other controllers have their own issues as well, not just Sandforce. MILLIONS of people have no problems with Sandforce. (I wouldn't buy one either though, but I am not concerned for data recovery possibilities) Much better to plan for failure with backups done properly.
recovering from any SSD I would not call easy, at the very least it will stretch out your time reading 16 or more chips, your HDD space on your recovery rig and your personal time.
