This SSD shows 5v and 12v in the status registers of PC3000, but all other status registers do not light up. Might this be an electrical issue, or controller failure due to no status lights. Images attached. Any advice appreciated as always.

Does your adapter support DEVSLP? Is this a PCIe SSD?

As its b-key it should be SATA. I will follow the info via the link and report back.

It could be either. The card's function is determined by its CONFIG pins

Card pinouts:

CONFIG pin definitions:
https://pcisig.com/sites/default/files/specification_documents/QTI_ECN-PCIe_USB-3.1_Gen1__2-10-2017.pdf

A Google search suggests that Marvell's 88SS9183-BNP2 is a "native PCIe 2.0 controller".
