If you dont need the data, you could try reset password using the Crucial Storage Executive and drive's PSID (you could find it on the drive label).

after a long loading state it cant recognizes the drive, however the system itself and ssdlife can. continuously makes the ata errors, like DRDY ERR, cant READ DMA, etc...

update. i spend a lot of time, getting this drive back to life.
first of all:
- W8.1 is not suitable for Crucial's own application, cant even recognize any kind of drive.
- at W7 the GUI freezes, i was only able to commucate with the drive under CLI, but after a few commands, its gone :)
- under Arch the Micron Tool 3.15 was able to start the gui reads the datas, etc and said the sanitize was complete, however the drive is in locked state, the cli program was really informatic(said i must secure erase the drive), but sadly also cant sanitize the drive, however it seem complete.
- still under linux i was found a newer version of Micron's tool(3.24), it was perfect, in the meaning of correct stdouts. but also cant reset the drive, i even tried PSID and Santize fuctions. Secure erase cant be done, i dont know the PW.

./msecli -L

Device Name : /dev/sdb
Model No : Crucial_CT128M550SSD4
Serial No : *
FW-Rev : MU01
Total Size : 128.04GB
Drive Status : Attention! Drive is in security locked state.
Sata Link Speed : Gen1 (1.5 Gbps)
Temp(C) : 47

Drive information is retrieved successfully
CMD_STATUS : Success
STATUS_CODE : 0

./msecli -X -B -n /dev/sdb
Sanitizing the drive will erase all of it's saved data.
Are you sure you want to continue(Y|N):y

Sanitizing in progress. This process may take several minutes or up to an hour, depending on how much data is stored on the drive. Do not turn off your computer until the sanitization process is complete

CMD_STATUS : Command aborted by the drive

./msecli -X -P -p * -n /dev/sdb
PSID Revert will permanently erase ALL user data! Please backup all data from the drive before proceeding!
Are you sure you want to continue(Y|N):y

Device Name : /dev/sdb
Attention! Drive in security lock state.PSID Revert operation failed
CMD_STATUS : This feature is currently not supported

The PSID base erase can be used only if the drive is crypted? because seems like its not. just having ATA PW.
i've got one more idea, but i think its impossibe. brute forcing the Lock password.
have you ever tried it?

The PSID revert function usualy have Self-Encrypted Drives (SED). They have it for the case if user lost the password the drive was locked with. Check if your drive working via AHCI. Also try to contact crucial tech support, probably they will help you to find out why PSID revert had not worked in your case.

[Bump] this might happen because the ATA lock is still in place even if you sanitize the drive with the PSID.

I would be interested in purchasing if you have a large quantity of password locked Micron/Crucial SSD.
