is it encrypted? i asked few friends about it and some of them said: some models are YES

anyone tried this model?

No. This controller not crypt data. Usually it is rebranded SM controller.

Generally this is to be told with the card or the dump on hands, but chances are that proper translator-based reassembly won't be possible.

We mostly get these of 64 GB capacity, but worked with the larger ones as well.
What kind of data you're looking to recover? Photos should be pretty recoverable, but videos will be PITA to get back.

And yes, that's not SanDisk, but relabeled SM2236. Memory chips are Toshiba and relabeled as well. Check the number of memory banks in the chip.

We have done many 32gb and 64gb versions but not yet 128gb. :-)

Problem with videos is only for Sandisk controller. For rebranded SM controller video is ok. Translator can be rebuild correctly.
In FE there is problem with videos file - IMHO bad assembling algorithm. I have much more better result with videos when I assembling Sandisk controllers in VNR.
