Some weeks ago my laptop did sporadically not recognize the SSD with OS (W7P). If I took the Laptop out of the dock it detected HDD and the system booted after a few tries. When the system was up and running I had few problems. Only some system freezes. So I did a full back up what was good because the situation went worse to that stage that the drive wasn't detected any more.
That is not quite right: when positioning the laptop vertically and applying pressure on the drive in the slot the drive was detected and the system booted some times.
The other strange thing was that sometimes I heard a strange buzzing sound from the hdd which should not be the case since it is an SSD.

Looking on the connectors revealed that some of the connections from the small connector to the board were lose.
This might be the problem.
Why did this happen? Is the Laptop getting too hot?
Could one trust a drive where contacts are resoldered?

What do you think?

You kidding ? right ?
More than 200 °C ?
The melting point (depends in what it mixed) is at least around 200 °C

It won't hurt to reflow the solder joints.

Can you show us the drive's SMART report?

If the drive buzzes, then I would suspect that one of the coils would be responsible for the noise, in which case it could be that the coil is being overloaded by a short somewhere on the PCB. If so, and if this short comes and goes when the PCB is flexed, then I would suspect an intermittent MLCC (ceramic capacitor).

After resoldering the Pins on the SATA connector the drive was detected reliably.
System booted and seems to work. The Sound did not appear up to now.
As per your recommendation I performed a smart scan (see

).

The Unknown_Attributes in your SMART report make it a little difficult to understand.

175 Program_Fail_Count_Chip 0x0013   100   100   010    Pre-fail  Always       -       0

240 Head_Flying_Hours       0x0013   100   100   050    Pre-fail  Always       -       0

ATA Error Count: 1

Attribute 173 is identical for both drives, so this would suggest that it may be normal.

The raw data for attribute 169 appears to be a multiword value. Only the first word differs.

    631 455 221 034 = 0x0093 05AA 052A
    455 361 561 898 = 0x006A 05AA 052A

Likewise, the raw data for attribute 170 appears to be a multiword value. Once again only the first word differs.

    111 685 664 850 = 0x001A 00FC 0052
    51 556 122 706 = 0x000C 00FC 0052

I don't know what these numbers mean, but my intuitive feeling is that they are OK. The differences that stand out are in attribute 168 and the ATA Error Count.

Your drive has a raw value of 10760 for attribute 168 and an error count of 10590 whereas the other SSD has only a single ATA error. This would suggest that the errors are real. The similarity in the numbers (10760 vs 10590) makes me wonder whether they are related. Some SSDs define attribute 168 as "SATA PHY Error Count", so perhaps this is consistent with your observation regarding the SATA connector.
