Hi, there

I have the same SSD but a 240GB, who as 8 additional chips on the side yours is empty

I've measured the voltages at V1, V2, V3 and V4 and getting 0

any suggestion for a simple fix without paying such a high data recovery prices ?

I can't see the marking on all the smaller chips, but you can start by carefully measuring the voltage at the Enable pin (#5) of the APW8804 ICs. I suspect that it will be low (0V), in which case our next move will be to find the chip that is driving this pin.

The +5V Vcc supply isn't getting to the regulators or supervisor ICs, yet you say you can see it at the output of the e-fuse. :?

Are you able to provide better quality photos (or CCD scans) of both sides of the PCB, or can you at least tell me the markings on all the smaller chips?

I have re-annotated my e-fuse image in light of your better photos. I mixed up the 5Vin and 5Vout, but if you observed both voltages, then the e-fuse should be OK.

The chips marked "13 1E" would be equivalent to the APW8804, so you can measure their PVDD and VDD supply pins.

The "BDC" chip provides two supply voltages. I would measure its supply inputs and also the inputs for the other DC-DC converters

AP3422, BCD Semiconductor, Dual 1.1MHz, 800mA Synchronous DC-DC Buck Converter, 2.5V - 5.5V in, marking BDC, DFN-3×3-10:

Pin # 9 and 10 of APW8804 don't look right ???

Pin # 5 and 10 of AP3422 should be 0V if the output voltages are 0V ??? They should never be 5VDC ???

Measure the ENable pins as well.

@Kingston, all the regulators are getting their 5V supplies, but only one of them is enabled (pin #6 of BDC). You stated that the output of this regulator (V3) is 0V, yet we can see 0.508V at SW2. This implies that the regulator is trying to do its job, but is being overloaded. I suspect that all the other regulators are waiting for this main (?) supply to come up to spec before they are enabled by their supervisor ICs (or by POK from APW8804 ?).

I would now measure the resistance of the V3 capacitor on the 200 ohms range of your meter (with power off, of course). This should tell us if there is a short circuit at V3.

A device that is powered from the V3 rail appears to be shorted. Hopefully the culprit is a capacitor, not an IC.

I would start by testing the resistances of the V1, V2, and V4 capacitors just to confirm that there are no other shorts.

Next I would try to determine the function of V3. That is, does V3 power the SandForce controller or the NAND chips? To this end I would measure the resistances of the bypass capacitors at the controller and one of the NAND chips. Note that some of the components at the controller may be inductors, so they will normally measure close to 0 ohms. If you suspect that a component is an inductor, then measure its resistance to ground. It should not be 0 ohm.

Are you sure you are measuring 0.0 ohm and not "OL" (overrange)? What do you see when you touch the probe tips together? What do you see when you separate the probe tips?

unfortunately I'm sure
when I touch the probe tips together I'm getting 0.3 (and that's (0.3) what I'm getting when measuring the components)
when separated I'm getting OL

furthermore, I made A continuity test too, and everything (V1, V2, V3, V4 + all capacitors/inductors (supply bypass capacitors) marked by you) is beeping
