Is this possible to do (iPhones excluded).

I have an LG G3 which has been run over by a car and a Motorola Droid Turbo which has been to a cell phone store and they couldn't get the phone to work so again presumably a chip off is the only way. I have searched the forum and found a lot about KIA'a and Ferrari's but not much about cell phone chip offs. I know PC-3000 flash does not offer this.

Cell phones is an area we want to get into, but realize it is a whole new ball of wax.

What kind of memory is there? If eMMC like in most of smartphones, we are able read it. By eMMC interface or some by NAND interface. Here you can see some models:

Not sure of the chip yet, just wanted a general idea first before I tore them apart. I will let you know. Thanks :D

Well,
Could You Wait For a Day Or So I Am Planning To Create a New Thread To Explain Many Of You Handle These Issues . BTW None Of These Tools Like PC-3000 ,Rusolut Or Softcenter Are Required For These .You Need a Investment of Approx USD 1000 To Handle Most Phones ,Can You Gimme a Day or So For This

My company specializes in forensics on phones which are damaged or not supported by regular forensic equipment. Generally, we use chip-off, JTAG, or ISP/Direct eMMC methods to get a image of the flash chips. We have worked both the LG G3 and Droid Turbo XT1254 phones you mention and they both use eMMC memory. They can either be imaged by chip-off or ISP (in circuit without removing the chip). There are several options to read eMMC memory (including SD/USB socket adapters) but for phones with NAND chips we use various universal programmers and adapters. Feel free to contact me with any questions about equipment or analysis software options.

So you find the TP(s) and apply your method to access the Internal Memory Dump and then Process it with Mobile Forensic Tools right?

Yep, that's pretty much it in a nutshell

#1 determine pinout for JTAG/ISP or pull the chip
#2 dump the memory
#3 fire up the appropriate mobile forensic software tools (if we're lucky and the device is supported)

Amarbir, We have been waiting for 6 weeks for the 'day or so'. Any update? We don't expect miracles, just an update. We all have clients we are trying to appease waiting for your response.
