Starting Flash Recovery

August 20th, 2016, 9:08

Hi,

currently I only recover HDDs in my lab and USB-Sticks with broken connector. But I also want to be able to recover the data right from the chips of an USB stick.

For HDD Recovery I use PC3k. That's why I'd like to stay with ACE-Labs. But I saw, that most people are using SC FE. But I don't know what to do. For 2k I get with ACE not only the software but also a dozen of adapters to dump the chip and upgrade options are available. For SC FE I habe to pay 1,9k every year + tools.

Can someone help me a little bit? Is the PC3k-Flash (4.0) enough to do the most recovery jobs that can be done with SC FE? Do I have with PC3k the adapters to read most of the NAND chips of USB-Sticks?
