Hi I've been trying to recover some data from a samsung ssd I used to boot windows from. It is no longer the boot disk, but if it is connected to the motherboard at all windows immediately crashes. Blue screen with the frowny face. I have tried to connect it using a SATA-USB adapter cable but as soon as I plug it in to the USB port, windows crashes with the same blue screen. This has happened on every computer I have tried it on, two with windows 10 and one with windows 8.1.
It is a samsung 840EVO 250GB. Any advice on what I could do to prevent the crashing and see my data would be very appreciated, thanks.
