I'd bet there's a NAND of some sort buried under that blob of tar. Getting it out in one piece might not work so well. Probably best to do what Arvika says. |

Remove controller and connect reader to memory chip by wire. |

Ok, This is not such a big problem. Check the datasheet for the controller. |
