Hello everybody how are you?

I have a case is a ssd model mz-mte2560 and the controller is s4ln045x01-8030 when i give power to this ssd the controller rise very fast the temperature, but probe the voltage in many capacitor and voltage measured appear coherent 3.3V, 1.8V, 1.25V. Is posible recover the data changing the controller or trying to read the memories.

my best regards

Hi,

Sounds like a Samsung EVO 840, or similar.
The controller does AES-256 (it seemed more like AES-192 to me, but officially its AES-256) encryption, so you likely cannot do much with the memories alone. (But I haven't investigated the encryption much further yet)

I measured all the voltages on an EVO 840 - 250 GB, which you can see here (zoom in):

You can try my new tool: https://github.com/thesourcerer8/SSDdiag to diagnose the controller.

You can also read my repair manual: http://www2.futureware.at/~philipp/ssd/ ... Manual.pdf
