I have got a Sandisk SDCZ48-064G that customer damaged PCB. Was wondering if it's recommended to find compatible donor and move NAND or can this be handled in VNR? I have 5 of these same models but none are the same controller.

Controller info:
20-82-00372-1
S537-SPCGP00
SDC1 Taiwan

Chip info:
Sandisk
24112 064G
China

DIY customer tried to use Dremel to open Sandisk. It's ground thru multi-layer up to and hitting corner pin on controller. It's only surface damage at chip corner so it was hit at an angle. Deep cut outside, then angled to surface by corner of chip. When I received this photo I thought I would repair it, but the damage is deeper than it looks.

I could be wrong, but from what I'm seeing in that picture it seems like it just ripped off one component. Have you tried just bridging those contact points where it looks like it ripped off a bridge? Perhaps my eyes are just fooling me from the photo IDK.

That's what I was hoping for when I first saw the photo :)
There are copper layers/trace cuts on at least 2 levels. Some of the copper from top layer was melded to the second layer.

Rusolut support says chip might have non-standard pin-out. If anyone has experience with similar, and might be interested in a remote support relationship for VNR, please send me a PM.

Post a pic of chip here, maybe it's a standard one.

If you have it, I believe BGA-152 adapter for PC3000 Flash will read it.

I have VNR but both adapters, 152 and 132. I don't think the dump or ID will be different. Easier to line up in the 132 :)

Edit: Sorry, maybe you are saying PC-3000 will work with this chip better than VNR?

Not sure if it will read better. Don't have VNR. Just know that I had a chip like that and read it with that adapter in pc3k.

There are dozens chips like that, but Sandisks are always special ones :)
Should be no problem to read though.
