There are many ways but your question are too general

Android 6 (assuming 6.1 is base OS) will likely have hardware encryption that you will likely be unable to decrypt. Also, many devices will have locked bootloaders, and with locked bootloader you cannot use dd tool for image creation and cannot secure image of internal NAND. Using fastboot or some OEM tool to unlock bootloader performs a factory reset which further complicates any recovery attempt you want to make. Samsung is simple enough to do, but other vendors will be difficult.

Reset of the phone will wipe all data and create a new encryption key, data has been lost. nothing you can do will bring it back

Unfortunately all that bunch of tools are worthless for data recovery on today most smartphones.

I assume that you are looking for one magic box that will do all job for you - in fact there are no such and there are many methods to get physical dump so RAW copy but your question are to general.... give exactly information as:

a) phone model
b) version of Android / Kernel version / Security patch etc

If phone are not encrypted you can use BL, EDL modes to get a dump, also ISP are a way to get physical dump and phone will be still intact.

If phone are encrypted which FDE higher than 1.3 out of box with uses then ISP/ChipOff are not a choice for a moment but there are a way to dump physical even encrypted phones as S6, S7, S8..... we have performed already such jobs in past.

We are not rooting phones to get physical dumps...... rooting affect phone integrity (no matter if its only system partition..... ) and writes data to memory which is not acceptable when we talk about deleted data recovery.
