Game over for that chip.
Most of the fast SD cards will use pairing of chips extensively I think. I would very much doubt any recovery.
What controller is it, Guessing SM?

If you see damaged crystal inside the crack (check under microsope), there will be no chance for read memory. Since there is Join by Page by small part there will be no chance for success. http://www.flash-extractor.com/library/ ... 0SD/SD_61/

Hello einstein9 Sir ,
The Break is in the middle which is worse of its kind ,It breaks the crystal under it into two .Sometimes we can get lucky with little break at edge not at this location .I i got a water corroded sandisk which someone refused recovery .I am sure i could reconstruct top layer circuit but i also know that people can go deep into inner layers ,But i am sure they have a good X-ray and lasers to cut surfaces .I am pretty much enjoying learning ,Might be like arvika sir gave you a little tutorial long time back i can also get one from someone after few days once i am more comfortable with tool ,But i do take out time daily to learn this and keep solving cases side by side

The damaged pads are N/C, don't worry about them.

Put it in a reader, 99% it won't work/overheat.. but there's always that 1%

Believe it or not, FEW Clients here are paying for Flash/Memory cases, most of them don`t pay more than 50-80$ (which is Bad Investment for the Pro. Tools i have here)

But... I do those cases for Fun (mostly or when am free) and was never about the $$$$,,,
only about getting more experience that's all (for my Training courses i provide for the Law Enforcement where the real $$$ are)

Back again to this case, my client will not pay am sure about it But will try it only for my Ref. and Thank you for bringing this to me... its always good to know few things.. might be the 1%

Have a good day...
