Post subject:  NVMe PCIe SSD Imager
I was wondering if somebody ever build a NVMe PCIe SSD and what the setup was. I am tempted to buy the DDI SSD ad on but at 3K not sure yet. I had in my mind a linnux based os with a commercial software for sector by sector imaging for ssd with support. Any ideas and input would be great. I am good with sata SSD but currently lack nvme imaging.

I don't know of any commercial linux based programs that can handle hardware resets and repowering of a patient drive, so it will be quite limited. That said, I haven't played with the DeepSpar SSD add-on and am not sure of the percentages of cases that it can handle and I suspect that a major factor would be on the types of cases you get and how many.

In short, the best option for NVMe PCIe SSD imaging is DeepSpar, as they are the only hardware option out available.

I have the DeepSpar NVMe imager and the success rate is low, maybe 1 out of 5 or 6 are recoverable. It all about timing, if the drive is worked to death somewhere else, we have a low chance of recovery.
