Hello friends,
Just got this Crucial MX300 based on Marwell 88SS1074. It ID's good. Full Capacity, SN and model. But i can read only two sectors at a time. Then the drive won't read anything. It needs to be powered off and on, wait 5 seconds and then i can read another two sectors. Checked it on many sectors and this seems to be the only way to read the data. Did anyone have a similar case or has any idea how this can be solved in more automatic way?

What hardware imager do you have? DeepSpar would work.

PC3000 only. I can't figure out why it needs those extra 5 seconds. It works like this: power on -> it gets DRD right away but it can't read any sectors. Have to wait 5 seconds. And can read only 2 sectors. It would be already done without it. With that speed of 2 sectors read, reset, wait 5 seconds and read next, 400MB of MFT will take 250h...

you can click as fast as you can
but still will be left with at least double that time
(you cant beat the calculator ;) )

400MB = 781,250 sectors / 2 (each read) (= 390,625(times to read them all)) * 5 (sec between each read) = 1,953,125 (seconds to read them all) = 542.5347H

assuming its 400MiB = 819200 sectors / 2 (each read) (= 409,600(times to read)) * 5 (sec between each read) = 2,048,000 (seconds to read them all) = 568.888H

Well, i beat your calculator yesterday. I did get the file list from the desktop in less than 10h.
Anyway, let's leave the math. I got 2 days to get the data and still no idea what the hell is wrong with this drive. Like it gets overflowed(i guess it's not a right word).

I did. There's nothing that changes the way it works. Reverse, numer of sectors, ice, hot, i think i did all. Solution, if possible, must be in firmware i think. But those controlers are not supported by PC3k SSD yet. Waiting for monday to ask AceLab if they have any solution ready.
