That all works at the block level, but at the OS level, the file is still being marked as deleted but the rest of the information on the MFt isn´t zeroed.

Of course, at that level there is no difference between a mechanical disk of an SSD and it will depend exclusively on the file system (format) that has the drive (FAT32, NTFS, HFS......etc)
