Stacked TSOP Chip Question

October 29th, 2018, 19:40

I have a Corsair USB drive with stacked TSOP chips (see pic).
The PCB at the connector has been severely damaged so we need to complete a chip off
I presume these chips need to be removed retaining the integrity of the stacked chips?
Once removed can they be read in a reader stacked like this?
Any help would be appreciated.

Same here, I have seen several stacked chips like this. Keep them together and read as one unit.

In case if you read it in VNR, keep them stacked together, as I remember they have shared databus where one chip connected to CE0,1 and other one to CE2,3 (4 dies/crystals in total).
