Samsung EVO+ micro sd

Hello,
My Samsung EVO+ 64GB micro sd stopped working a few days ago. It was not recognized by any of my devices, so I used a multimeter to check the VCC and GND pins - it beeped, which leeds me to believe that the controller is blown. Is there any chance for a monolithic recovery on this card? If so could you please tell me which MR adapter I will be needing & which tool (PC3000, Rusolut VNR etc.), pinout would be useful too. Basically every help is highly appreciated.

P.S. I decided to make this card recovery my personal project, but I am still learning so please go easy on me.
P.S.2. According to amazon my card's model number is MB-MC64DA, but don't quote me on that hehe.

Agree, the phrase “in at the deep end” springs to mind. Also add in sharks, piranha and electric eels!

Wow! I did not expect that. It seemed to me as every other micro sd.

So basically even if I wire it and extract the raw NAND data there is no way to reconstruct it back to what it was?
How often do those assembling algorithms get cracked? Do I just wait for that or simply give up?

P.S. I also read somewhere that in some cases the NAND chips are layed vertically, which makes it impossible to get to the lower chips and extract data from them. Is this true?

what do you have on card?if its just porn or some travel pictures,i would let it just go..
i mean you can redownload your travel pictures from Internet.if you have good memory u can just redownload your videos..

LOL. I have all my pictures and videos from the last 3 years. I do not like keeping them on a cloud, so I used to make occasional backups to my NAS. However, I am lazy(and dumb) and the last backup I have is from more than a year ago... So yea if there is (or there will be a) solution I would like to try it and recover as much as I can.

well next time print out your movie list into paper.that way u know how to easily redownload your tv shows and movies.i got like 44 movies and 7 tv shows in that list..
took me like 15 minutes to list all names and then print it out..

What are you talking about? My family pictures, my vacation pictures, my school pictures, even my cat pictures were there. What movies? What list? Anyways, I do not see the point of arguing with you over what I should have done, since the damage is already done. I can obviously live without those pictures, however it would be nice to have them back.
P.S. No, next time I will have regular, automatic backups to my NAS (already took care of that, now they are being synced every 12h).

That is a bummer indeed. However the post is a bit old, as you noted. I believe that things have /or will/ change. For now I intend just to keep the card and if an opportunity presents itself - to attempt data recovery.

By the way, I looked on the back of the Micro SD and found a couple of numbers. I guess they can be used to uniquely identify the card, so here they are:
MB-MC64D
MBMCCGVFODGW-F
DHOL 494GR613

MicroSD v93 from our database. We can read it but we can't assembly the data. It is complicated XOR and assembling algorithm.

Hello slav, if you want learn data recovery from microSD, I recommend you to start with Sandisk mSD 16-32GB.
Just record as much photos as you can (you need to fill the card at least 50%) and try to recover data from it.
Regarding the tools my first one was PC3000 Flash and I'm happy with it.

not good idea.i had some some sandisk mSD what are rebranded/refurbished as a sandisk mSD products,but are actually samsung evo mSD cards...so good luck cracking algorithm for this card is not cracked

Almost half an year later.
I was wondering has anything changed? Is the algorithm cracked yet? Would it ever be?

P.S. Would the micro-sd lose its data over time if it is not used? In other words is there some kind of a time period during which I will be able to extract the data even if I can't assemble it?
