It could just be the picture, but it looks a bit dirty to me. Specifically between the pins of the square controller chip.

Have you tried giving it a bath in isopropyl alcohol, using a brush to clean all the contacts, and then fully drying it?

You might find that will solve the issue.

Oh, I didn't zoom in before, but you are right. Now I see it looks like the perennial toast mark in the R where it burned up.

what is the controller number? I can make out last digits "98M-QN" but not the first letters and numbers. Also what NAND chip is it. Photo of other side?
