Hello guys,,,

I know that Sandisk controllers starts with 82-xxxx
but this one looks diff. here, is this new or something?

yes they have been coming out for a short while with different numbers like that

I’ve not see controllers like that yet, but no doubt will see them soon.

Good thing is that you most likely won’t need to do a “chip off” on this one, looks like a fairly simple soldering job :-)

I was thinking MAYBE those are new FAKE sandisk but looks i was wrong...
as you said new controllers category

Those are pretty popular here. We have seen quite a few 8200410A1, 820410PA1, and even a 6200410A1. At first glance thought it was just dirty or something, but it's definitely 62.

The last one we had (256GB) was a broken controller but had been flexed so bad the NAND and PCB pads were torn. We wired it up and read the data. Unfortunately it was encrypted. Donors are getting more and more important these days since some new devices won't have a chip-off option, they might require a NAND and possibly a controller swap. Similar to the those old Sandisk 1 and 2GB Cruzers that used to be popular.
