We have some time ago this model and was recovered. It was PCB failure if I good remember. Chip-off is last option here. |

I wish there was a paid forum like the one Louis Rossmann has, where paid people actually help to answer questions. |

If your voltages are fine then it's most likely the controller, but you can't tell for sure without the device in hand or hooked up to something like PC3000 portable. If someone has bought that for 10K they will want to recover their investment before providing advice, free or not to their competitors. |

Well, in your case, you would have paid for nothing, if it's the controller, you can not do it yourself. Have you tried to power it for a long time, like 1 hour, then reset and see if you get something ? |

Yes, I totally get that people need to recover their investment. I am referring to having people ask questions that are made, more than anything. Obviously paying a monthly subscription, for example. That way they can get paid. |

I mean I will still be asking for questions or advice! even if the answer is not desirable. Thanks for the reply by the way! |

What does the status register show in MRT when powering on the drive via SATA port? |

Just revising this post... Now with the availability of NVMe adapters and tools, status register is available when testing. |

If it is not detected by BIOS probably PCIe interface is not responding, so noone could not read any status from the controller. If you had checked voltages only think you can check more are PCIe bus lines (data and clock pairs). If you are lucky those might be broken. But even if you are extremely lucky (those are ~6 connections among ~30-100 which could brick disc) then you will not be able to repair them without microscope, precise soldering iron and at least hot air station. If you want the disk talk to you where it feels pain, only way would be to force controller into testmode, then use professional DR tool. |
