hi everyone i am thinking to replace the controller on a lexar 1TB but does the controller have some data stored on it like with HDD when we replace the PCB board we need to swap the bios (ROM)? or with SSD i can buy a lexar 1TB and swap the controller? and if the controller was defective then i will have access to the data? controller model number: Lexar DM918/NOD43 1907 SSD Lexar 1 TB i can't find any model number written on it. it connects to windows as not initialized and doesn't show the capacity or partition. connect to macbook it shows the right capacity 1TB and 120GB used. and it's not recognised by MRT as MRT doesn't support this brand on recovery softwares such as (EaseUS) it appears as 127kb instead of 1TB. it seems windows can't communicate with the motherboard so could be the controller or missing voltage? customer says it was working and next day when he turned his PC on it didn't work and it had windows 10 on it. there 4 nand flash chips on it (storage) and it's written on them: Lexar/TST22T181/ B1924 and one controller: Lexar DM918/NOD43 1907 any help and gaudiness will be highly appreciated. thanks |
