Hi

I have a Hitachi Plat of 80 GB with the damaged PCB.
I got another PCB and I replaced it to the hard disk, rewrite the NV-RAM.

Now the hard disk recognizes it totally (Model, firmware, modules, etc)
I made an SA Checking Test and everything was perfect.

When I try to extract the data or when I make a recalibration, the disk presents
the following sound: tac, tac, tac, tac.... and power off

Because this happens?

Carlos.

What shows express utility?
Maybe you could clone the data without recalibration? :D

Try to run express test from universal utility. Do you know how to do it?
Or use magic key....Alt+V

Another option is to send it for a professional recovery.
