 Post subject: Rom Chip Dead

I Have Seagate 2TB, ST2000DM001, CC25, TK. the Rom chip is dead. I have one more working hard with same config. Any Chances for recovery.

what do you mean dead ? have you tried reading it using an external programmer ?

Thanks for reply. Completely Dead, it not reading, even soldering to another working PCB ,its not working any solution.

1. My question was if you tried an external programmer, not another PCB
2. what was the initial problem with the drive/PCB who killed it ?
