 Post subject: My External HDD shows I/O device error

Hi

My buffalo ministation 500gb external HD cannot access. Just today only cannot be used yesterday it woking fine. when i click the drive it prompt message box "K:/ cannot accessible the request could not performed because of an I/O device error".
I already try to chkdsk the drive but cannot do check disk because it shows raw drive.
Please help to solve this.
Inside that HD got my important data.

Hello saankara, you should make this kind of post in "Conventional Hard Drives Forum". Beside that, does your hdd do any extrange sound? If you have important information on it maybe is better to look for a proffesional service. If you want a DIY solution you have to describe a little more about your problem (but in conventional drives forum :) ).
