There's no WD in the blog post, but you can ask ACE support.

I'm sure it'll support imaging a WD SAS through Data Extractor. I've never seen or heard of a WD SAS drive with a firmware problem, to be honest. In fact, it's fairly rare across most all SAS drives. Usually they are just catastrophic failures, or bad sectors, occasionally bad heads.

Ah, the old trick of trying to fool your RAID into thinking it's the original drive.

Do you have any solutions to edit HDD ID (SN & Model info) for WD SAS drive?

Looks like our friend here is looking for a way to edit Model and SN on WD SAS drives....

Most likely that is the reason why he is looking for a SAS tool.

Yes, we had place the order for PC3K-SAS. I did check the blog ACE list support, found no WD SAS support.
We wish to edit the SN & Model for WD SAS drives. Anyone have solutions, please PM me. We will pay the service charge if success.

WD SAS:
3TB
Model is WD3001FYYG

Thanks for other member reply. Appreciate it.

Probably you will get an error even you would change s/n and name of disk.
An error comes as techno key would not pass as pc 3000 does know it for the original disk. Thats the issue not the name of a disk.
It would probably look llike literaly as you try to open with a wrong key no matter the lock looks like the same - lock key mechanism has not the same sequence as your native lock has it on
