Case 1TB Helios

Hello,

I convert drive from USB to SATA trasnfer ROM and replace heads on Helios 1TB drive.
Drive is ready and I start imaging to another drive connected to SATA1 port PC3000 UDMA
On the begining process was slow, then run smoothly, now is slow again. I was able to image about 20% of drive. Now it reads some few k OK, then some part not read (few 100). If I stop process and turn off and on and start process it reread unread part ok, but very quick become unstable (read/skip).
Currently reading 128 skip sectors 48
I try also to disable some of heads without success.
Question. Could be reason of such behavior heads or something else.
And if I stop process, replace heads with new one, how is with destination drive. Could I connect it to USB or internal SATA conector instead of SATA1 port of PC3000, or it needs to be connected on SATA 1 port of PC3000. How DE handles task.

Check the heads under a microscope, sounds contamination to me
