Guys
I am using pc3000 UDMA V7.0.3
I have got a case of Rosewood 2TB which is showing 0mb .I am trying to unlock disk first. I am having older USB 2.0 terminal adapter. Often I get error that software can't control speed but I can read terminal so I think terminal adpater should not be an issue.
Despite all efforts I am unable to read rom. What is preventing rom reading? Can someone pls. guide.
Thank you.

boot terminal is locked, probably...
if so, you will need to use ext programmer

Thanks einstein9 :-D :good:
Pointing out exact issue. I was of opinion with old terminal adpater I will not be able to adjust signal levels but for basic functions it will work.
But it seems I will have to replace it anyhow.
One last question whether this adapter which is readily available will be fine or I should go for ace one ?

Terminal 2 works at 3.3v

Terminal 3 can support 1.8/2.5/3.3V.

Rosewood uses 1.8v terminal I believe.

Thanks a lot pepe
Yes I remember a post from forum that even USB 2.0 adapter works fine, thats why I did't opt to buy usb 3.0 adapter.

I think it's of these 'new' Janus drives that older PC3k didn't support.
If so, then this question

is the key, and you will need latest pc3k to work with them.

Hi Pepe,

Thanks for the clarity there.

You know, I never tried it. I got 2 x T3 and 1 x T2 which I never use. I was told back in 2017 or so that the T3 was needed for Rosewood, but I guess it was just if you want to transfer at 6000000 .

Thanks

Louis

Hi ,
Janus Rosewoods Work Best With New Adapter ,Its Time You Get One And Then You Can Use both ,old one for old drives and new one for ultra modern once

I never tried it to advice, but best advice is buy from Acelab might be expensive little bit but stable/tested by them
@the end of the day Terminal cable if supports as mentioned 1.8/2.5/3.3V is just a cable

I have kept order pending but now will go ahead with acelab alongwith some other pending material.
Since it is going to used on day to day basis its definately good idea to buy tested one other than cheap chinese
