Could be that some scumbag has done something to it, like writing non-native 4x adaptives to it or something?

Worth asking if it has been to another DR company and their quote declined?

Well,
In That Case He Can Try Mod 47 Recvery FRom SA And Restore To Rom as Thats Fully Accessible ,But i am of the opinion he is aiming in the sky and shooting .He Should Block SA Access Using Old Method And Try To Initialise The Drive Without Unblocking It .

I asked today and it has not left the clients desk other than when it died. No other companies.

Mod 47 from ROM is nothing to do with what I’m talking about, I’m talking about mods 4x in SA

Let’s hope that the OP hasn’t done something stupid like writing non-native mods to the patient when he was “fixing the fw problems” rather than repairing the damaged ones that are unique (e.g. 4x mods) :-(

Well, I got it solved thanks to Ace Labs TS! The issue ended up being degraded heads. Though the heads test came back fine, head 3 is degraded and the translator is not loading b/c of it. Good thing I ordered donor parts already. My sincere thanks to everyone for help and advice!
