Any suggestions? I'm not even sure what to choose from the device category ...

i'm fairly new to PC-3000 -- and I have to admit
- Determining the family of device with just a short alpha-numeric moniker for the family doesn't make it obvious.

Is there a list that lets me identify or classify them ??

That model is fairly new. No supported in PC3000, yet.
Can try entering the utility using one of the other families, though not sure if it will work.

Can you upload a ROM dump? I have analysed the ROM from a HUH728080ALE600 (WD80EFZX-68UW8N0), so I'm expecting that it will be similar. AFAICT, HGST has also publicly released the VSC which allows reading of the SA. However, I don't know if a Super-ON command needs to be issued beforehand. I can help with this if you know how to use an ATA terminal.

FWIW, the WD80EFZX-68UW8N0 is an Aries HC8.

i have good drive connected as well as bad.... yet, i still can't get in.
