Hi there.

Could someone please share ROM f/w: 2AR20004 from ST1000LM024?

I know there are other methods and this is not the most recommended one, but this particular case original rom is lost, I could not access using burn-in (no compatible one available) and smart hot swap is not possible due to the lack of a proper donor. So I´d like to try some 2AR20004 ROMs to see if i get luck to match the proper OVERLAY

If possible and not too much of a hassle, more than 1 ROM is welcome since they can be different even under the same 2AR20004 f/w version

Also would help any burn in resources for this particular model. The ones from Ace update box do not match any search criteria

Can you show us the terminal log? That should tell us the RAM load points for the overlay components. Then you can locate these same load points in the FLASHTABL in the ROM. If the load points don't match, then you can eliminate that particular ROM candidate.

Are you able to retrieve the overlay via terminal?

I was able to read all patient modules using dumb hot swap
In this case, drive uses 73 MOVLY001 and 19 BOVLY001

This is the address that you should look for in the ROM FLASHTABL and in the MOVLY001 header. IIUC, there should be two RAM addresses for two MOVLY001 components.

I can show where to find them, if need be. Just upload your MOVLY001 and ROM samples.

I would also confirm that your ROM candidate has a reference to your preamp "PAUNI_L2957", and that the FIPS section contains the same head map.

I hex edited donor ROM and patient MOVLY001 and they both use the same 0x014D00 address, so this case is probably a version compatibility that can not be eliminated by this parameter.
Even if it could, my problem is exactly the oposite: I don't have any other ROMs with this f/w to use as donor ... :(

So if anybody could spare the time, please share ROM(s) with f/w: 2AR20004 from ST1000LM024
On my side I would not mind trying them one by one until one works

I looked before but from model ST10000LM024 fw 2AR20004 Hddsurgery DB had only 1 entry with modules only - no ROM

But I tried ajusting another donor ROM and made it compatible.
From here I just ajusted patient SA to work with my donor pcb and everything worked.
Saving customer data now.

Anyway it is always nice to have some more ROMs, since there are only a few ones available with f/w 2AR20004 in the usual places.

I guess that means you wrote a donor MOVLY001 module to the SA?
