Post subject:  SOS help needed for PC3000 Express Red card

Friends
I need your desperate help as I am unable to identify issue with my udma.
After powering any port ( SATA0 / or SATA 1) from my express red card. Error registers glow ( typical like when all registers glow for faulty pcb) 12V rail is in red.
I have removed card cleaned it
changed pci express slot
changed SATA & power cable
changed power supply connector that goes into red card
nothing is working .What could be the issue. Sometime in the past this issue has come up 2-3 time but if card is removed and refitted or cleaned this issue is resolved.
pls.help.

I would put my money on your card being defective.
I'm working with pc3k products for more than 15 years and I've never seen an issue that needs the card to be lifted and cleaned.
We've had an issue with a recently purchased card, it would behave similar to yours:
It would not spin up any drives, either 5V or 12V would go red (depending on 2.5" or 3.5" drives) and the card would beep.

Ace sent us new power cables as they thought the cables were faulty, problem persisted, and they had the card replaced.

Even if your card is not under warranty anymore, contact them and they'll replace it. It's not that expensive.

I didn't realize that it is possible to replace the card after the warranty. How much it costs?

That was their policy many years ago I don't know if something's changed, but I doubt.
Regarding cost, I think it would be in the range of ~$250 but I might be wrong.
