I have stopped background scanning of this Rosewood disk & I could Image using 3 heads at 25Mb/Sec.However Head 3 is very slow in reading ( 30KB/sec)
Besides Weak head is there any FW related issue that needs to be addressed for Head3
Can someone pls suggest.

- either very weak head
- head map changed

The data you get is likely invalid buffer fill pattern. Are there any good areas on H3 ?

Thanks pepe Happy to have most accurate analysis from seagate Guru .
Yes head 3 might be weak , I have not changed headmap .I will check randomly whether all the area under head 3 is having same symptoms or specific zones only.
I have observed that most of the rosewoods lost normal detection & id after unlock , may I am not able to use even 5% potential of pc3k.
Is there anything I can try to refine other than head transplant ?

i usually decide what to do by checking signal quality.
without instrumentation there's not much else you can do than try a swap.

Thanks . I am mostly in logical recoveries & I have brought pc3k for simpler fw cases. I outsource my head related work as well ascomplex fw cases as I have very basic operational skills of pc3k.
