 Post subject: Western Digital PCB problems

i am new to this forum and as it goes i am looking for help. WD1600 Caviar drive with blown SMOOTH controller chip. Can i use a different pcb or will that damage the drive irreversibly? anyone have an idea?

looking for letter like "2060-001113-001" on the PCB. matching it.sometomes you need replace ROM on the original PCB to Donor PCB.
